Submissions

The Women's Law Forum (WLF) at Villanova University School of Law seeks to provide a forum for legal scholarship. The WLF seeks to educate and increase awareness on legal issues relevant to feminist jurisprudence, to provide updates regarding recent developments in the field and to serve as a research tool to legal community.

The WLF intends to supplement and expand upon the offerings of traditional print journal. To accomplish this goal, the WLF encourages submissions from law students and professors, practicing attorneys, judges, and other legal professionals. Submissions may be articles, working papers, speeches, testimony, commentaries, letters to the editor or other forms of scholarship.

Submissions must meet the following guidelines:

  • Submissions should have a solid foundation in the law or legal reasoning.

  • Submissions should address current and timely legal issues relevant to feminist jurisprudence, including, but not limited to, issues affecting women, gender issues and the construction of sexuality.

  • Submissions may address broad theoretical concerns or specific issues.

  • Submissions need not be of any particular length. They must however, be substantial enough to present, formulate, analyze and conclude an argument or thesis. Submissions will also be evaluated based on their written quality including organization, structure, style, and grammar.

  • Submissions by law professors, practicing attorneys, judges and other legal professionals may be in the form of essays, working papers, speeches, or formal articles.

  • Submissions by law students may be in the form of comments, directed research papers, or other legal writing.

  • Submissions must comply with the legal citation rules of the seventeenth edition of the Bluebook and must be sent to the WLF in Microsoft Word 2000 Format.

  • Authors will retain a copyright to the submission but will grant WLF a non-exclusive license to publish the submission. This will allow the submission to be published simultaneously in both the WLF and a traditional print journal.

Authors should submit papers, and or articles for evaluation in Microsoft Word Format and send them to the Attention of the Articles Editor at wlf@law.villanova.edu.
