Client Counseling Competition
VLS students participate each year in the ABA National Client Counseling Competition, a competitive event that draws on students' mastery of legal doctrine, as well as their interviewing, counseling and strategic skills. The Law School runs an internal competition which is open to all upper level students, and is judged by top attorneys from the area who critique every student competitor after each round. First year students serve as clients and sit in on the critiques, thus gaining insight and experience. The top team wins the Wyn Llewellyn Award and represents the Law School at the regional and national competitions.
