After serving as a law clerk for a federal judge and an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, Bryant Lim decided to join the corporate sector by working for Merck & Co., Inc. As a Senior Attorney at Merck, Lim offers counsel and advice to the United States Human Health division of Merck. He is specifically responsible for supporting the company’s sales and marketing groups within the U.S. pharmaceutical division.
Lim credits Villanova Law School with providing him with the foundation he needed to succeed in the legal world, developing the necessary skills to
interpret, synthesize and fully understand legal issues. While in law school, Lim was an active student leader. He was selected to the Villanova Law Review at the end of his first year and by his third, had been elected Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. The fact that he held this peer-selected position is a testament to his fellow students’ confidence in his intellectual ability, as well as his leadership skills.
It is these skills that have helped Lim to thrive in both big firm practice and the business world. “Law school forces you to be prepared, not only for your day-to-day curriculum, but for your own career planning. Practicing law is not all that different. Being prepared – whether for a meeting, deposition, oral
argument or trial – will invariably lead to professional success.”
