Pennsylvania Bar Admissions Ceremony & BAR/BRI Book Return for Villanova Law Alumni

Dear Pennsylvania Bar Admittee:

The Villanova Law Alumni Association cordially invites you and your guests to the First Annual Villanova Law Pennsylvania Bar Admissions Ceremony on Wednesday, December 12, 2007. The ceremony will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Ceremonial Courtroom No. 653 in Philadelphia’s City Hall.

This ceremony is for all Villanova Law alumni who passed the February and July 2007 Bar Exams. We encourage you to attend the ceremony even if you will have already submitted your bar application by mail prior to December 12, as the Law School and Alumni Association would like to recognize you for your achievement.

Justice James J. Fitzgerald, III, will administer the oath of attorney.  Following the ceremony, an alumni reception will take place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, located in the famous Petite Ballroom across from City Hall, to honor the admittees and alumni who serve as members of the judiciary.  Your family members are welcome at both the ceremony and reception as guests of the Association.

If you seek to be admitted to the Bar on December 12, you must appear at 3:00 p.m. the day of the ceremony with your completed forms (mailed to you from the Pennsylvania Board of Bar Examiners) and necessary fees for admittance. If you do not bring the completed paperwork to the Ceremony, you may participate in the Ceremony, but you will NOT be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. As mentioned above, if you will have already submitted your bar application by mail prior to December 12, you are encouraged to attend the event which for you will be purely ceremonial in nature. In this case, we ask that you appear at 3:30 p.m. 

The Alumni Association has also scheduled a BAR/BRI Book Return at the Law School for Saturday, November 17, 2007.  Board Members will be present to collect your books in Room 2 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
