Accommodations

The Law School works diligently at meeting the needs of students with disabilities, and it grants reasonable accommodations provided that the requested accommodations do not fundamentally alter the nature of the academic program or compromise an essential aspect of the academic program.

Student requesting reasonable accommodations must make their requests on the Request for Reasonable Accommodations Form. Hard copies of the form will be available from the Director of Academic Success Programs, LaRasz Moody.

Students requesting exam accommodations should submit the form to LaRasz Moody, Director of Academic Success Programs, by October 1st for accommodations for the fall semester exam period and March 12th for the spring term. First year students should apply for accomodations at least two weeks before the Legal Research exam in October.

Accommodations for second and third year students who have previously received accommodations do not require new supporting documentation. However, all students must complete the request form each semester for both exam and other accommodations.

Students should refer to the Student Handbook for details on the Accommodations Policy. As noted in the policy and on the form, requests will not be considered unless students submit the required supporting documentation from the treating professional, including diagnosis, recommendations and supporting measurements. For guidelines on the specific documentation required for learning disabilities, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, please refer to www.learningsupportservices.villanova.edu. If you have questions or need more information, contact LaRasz Moody (moody@law.villanova.edu; Room 44 - near the Financial Aid Office).
